Welding Holder - Green (500-Amp)

A green electrode holder rated at 500 amps, the business end of an arc welding set. It clamps the rod, carries the current and takes the abuse: dropped on concrete, kicked across a workshop, left lying against hot steel. The 500-amp rating is a headroom figure rather than a target - a holder rated well above the current a machine actually delivers runs cooler, and a holder that runs cool is one whose jaws still spring shut and whose handle is not soft by the end of the year. Replaced routinely in any working shop, because a holder with tired jaws drops rods mid-weld and one with cracked insulation is a shock risk. Check the cable connection is tight; most holder failures are actually the joint behind it.
