Wall Plug - Grey Open HATCH (M12)

Grey open-type wall plugs in M12, Hatch's own brand. An open body behaves differently from a closed one: it splays and folds outward as the screw enters instead of expanding as a solid mass, which suits a hole that is not clean and round - coarse block, rubble-filled walls, an old hole that has been drilled twice, or masonry that broke out around the entry. It is a forgiving plug where a precise one would spin. At M12 it takes the substantial work: gate and grille frames, heavy brackets, canopies, water tanks and racking. Drill as accurately as the material allows, clear the debris out, seat the plug fully, and use a long screw that carries right through the body. Solid, clean concrete is better served by a straight plug.
