TANGIT - (500g)

Tangit in a 500 gram tin. Half a kilo is site quantity: an apartment block or terrace being first-fixed, a water tank and its feed and distribution pipework, borehole and pump connections, irrigation mains, and drainage runs across a plot. Everybody calls it Tangit whatever the tin says, and this is the size a contractor keeps in the van. On larger-diameter pipe the technique matters more than on small - both faces need a full even coat, the pipe must go fully home rather than stopping short, and a bigger joint takes longer to cure before it can be tested. Do not put a system under pressure early to save an hour; a joint that has not cured will let go at exactly the worst moment.
