TANGIT - (100g)

Tangit in a 100 gram tin. The name is used here the way people use it in the trade: whatever the label, Tangit means the cement that welds PVC pipe together. A hundred grams suits a contained job - re-plumbing a bathroom, running waste from a new sink or shower, fitting a washing machine, replacing a section of soil or rainwater pipe. The solvent softens both mating faces so they fuse as they cure rather than merely sticking, which means the fit matters: a joint made on a pipe cut at an angle, or on a face still wet or dusty, never fully welds. Work quickly once it is on, seat the pipe fully home, and leave the joint undisturbed to cure before putting water through it.
