Steel drill bit -10mm

A 10mm twist drill bit for steel and other metals. This is a large hole to make in metal with a hand drill, and it behaves accordingly: the wide cutting edge generates real torque, so the work must be clamped rather than held, the drill run slow, and the pressure eased right off as the bit breaks through, or it will snatch and either spin the workpiece or wrench the drill out of your hands. Start with a smaller pilot in anything thicker than sheet. It is the clearance size for M10 bolts through base plates, gussets, brackets, hangers and structural section. Cutting oil is not optional at this diameter if you want the edge to survive more than a few holes.
