Steel Bit - (6mm) pcs

A 6mm twist drill bit for steel and other metals. Six millimetres is the size that gets used without anyone thinking about it: clearance for M6 bolts and small studs, holes for rivets and pop fixings, drilling brackets, plates, angle and box section, and opening up an existing hole to take a bigger fixing. It is big enough to matter and small enough to be forgiving - it will not snap the way the very fine bits do, nor snatch the way the large ones can. Drill on a moderate speed with the hammer action off, keep the pressure steady rather than heavy, and use a punch mark to stop the point skating. Oil the cut on anything thicker than sheet and the bit will last several times longer.
