Steel Bit - (2mm)

A 2mm twist drill bit for steel and other metals - the finest diameter on our shelf. Two millimetres is the size for work where everything is small: tiny self-tappers and machine screws, instrument and electronics panels, model and hobby work, name and number plates, jewellery and craft, and the pilot for a slightly larger fine thread. A bit this slender snaps at almost nothing, so it demands what larger sizes forgive - a punch mark to start, the drill dead perpendicular, low speed, very light pressure and a real easing off as the tip breaks through. Never try to free a jammed bit by levering it sideways. Keep the work clamped, because at 2mm the bit will break before the workpiece moves.
