A packet of ten 6mm twist drill bits for steel. Six millimetres is the size that gets used more than any other in a fabrication shop - clearance for M6 bolts, rivet and pop-fixing holes, brackets, plates, angle and box section - so a packet is not stocking up so much as buying a week's supply. It is a forgiving diameter: strong enough not to snap like the fine sizes, small enough not to snatch like the large ones, which is why it survives being used by whoever picks up the drill. That also means it gets blunted rather than broken, and a blunt bit that keeps being used work-hardens the hole and ruins the next one. Hammer action off, moderate speed, oil on anything thick.
