A 10mm twist drill bit for steel and other metals. Ten millimetres is a substantial hole to make in metal and the bit behaves accordingly: the wide cutting edge generates real torque, so the work has to be clamped rather than held, the drill run slow, and the pressure eased right off as the tip breaks through - otherwise it snatches and either spins the workpiece or wrenches the machine out of your hands. Start with a smaller pilot in anything thicker than sheet. It is the clearance size for M10 bolts through base plates, gussets, brackets, hangers and structural section. Cutting oil is not optional at this diameter if the edge is to survive more than a few holes.
