Star Bit - (50mm) pcs

A star-head driver bit, 50mm long. This is the everyday length - longer than the stubby bits that come free with a drill and short enough to stay rigid and controllable, which is the combination most screwdriving actually wants. Used across gypsum work, roofing screws, cabinet assembly, decking and general fixing, anywhere a cross-recess screw is being driven by machine rather than by hand. Bits wear at the tip and the wear is invisible until screws start slipping: a rounded bit chews the recess of every screw it touches, and the screws then have to be dug out. Treat them as consumables and change them early. Fits standard hex holders in drills, impact drivers and bit extensions.
