Star Bit - (50mm)

A star-head driver bit, 50mm long. We stock two bits at this length and this is the more expensive; what separates them is not recorded here, and in a driver bit that difference is nearly always the hardness of the tip and whether it is rated for impact driving. A harder tip drives more screws before it rounds off, and an impact-rated bit survives the hammering an impact driver gives it instead of shattering. Ask at the counter if you drive screws all day rather than occasionally. Either way it is the standard everyday length - long enough to clear a chuck, short enough to stay rigid - used across gypsum work, roofing screws, cabinet assembly, decking and general fixing. Change it as soon as screws start to slip.
