Star Bit - (100mm)

A star-head driver bit, 100mm long - twice the everyday length and the longest on our shelf. That reach is the whole product: driving a screw at the bottom of a deep counterbore, through a spacer or a thick bracket, down inside a cabinet carcass, into a recessed fixing on machinery, or anywhere the chuck would otherwise hit the work before the bit reaches the screw. The trade-off is rigidity - a long bit flexes and wanders more than a short one, so start the screw square and keep the driver in line with it rather than at an angle. Fits standard hex holders in drills, impact drivers and extensions. Change it as soon as the tip starts to round, which on a long bit happens sooner.
