Secateurs - Red & White

Secateurs with red and white handles - the one-handed shears every gardener and shamba worker uses. The scissor action and the short blade give the control a saw or a panga cannot: a clean cut close to a bud or a stem, which is what lets a plant heal rather than die back from a crushed wound. Used for pruning shrubs, hedges and roses, cutting back green growth, harvesting flowers, fruit and vegetables, trimming seedlings and grafting stock, and cutting light branches and canes up to the thickness the blade will close on. Do not force them onto a branch too thick for them; that is how the pivot goes and how blades spring out of true. Keep the blade clean and sharp - sap sets like glue.
