An M8 rawl bolt - a steel expansion anchor rather than a plastic plug. It works by drawing a tapered section into a split sleeve as the nut is tightened, jamming the whole assembly hard against the walls of a drilled hole in concrete. That gives a fixing you can hang real weight on, which is why rawl bolts and not plugs are used for machinery feet, steel brackets and posts, gate hinges into concrete piers, handrails and balustrades, and tank and pump bases. M8 is the everyday size for medium loads. Drill the hole to depth and clear it out, drop the anchor in flush, then tighten - do not overtighten, because past a certain point the sleeve stops gripping harder and starts crushing the concrete around it.
