Rawl Bolt - (M10) pcs

An M10 rawl bolt, a size up from the M8 and the point at which a fixing stops being a bracket and starts being structural. The extra diameter buys both a stronger bolt and a larger expansion sleeve, meaning more surface jammed against the concrete and a fixing that copes with vibration and shifting load rather than only with dead weight. Used for machine frames that run and shake, steel columns and base plates, heavy gate posts and hinges, roller shutter fixings, and equipment mounted where failure would be serious. Needs a correspondingly larger hole drilled properly to depth in sound concrete - an anchor is only as good as the material around it, and a rawl bolt set into weak or cracked concrete gives a false sense of security.
