Paint Brush - 510 Harris (4-inch)

A Harris 510 paint brush in the four-inch width. Width decides how fast a surface gets covered and how well the brush behaves in a corner, and four inches is the wall brush: the one for laying emulsion onto a ceiling or a wall, cutting in around a large area, priming block and render, and painting doors, gates and fascia boards where a roller cannot follow the shape. A decent brush holds more paint, releases it evenly and keeps its bristles, which is the whole difference between a wall that looks brushed and one that does not. Wash it out properly in the right solvent before the paint sets, hang it to dry rather than resting it on its bristles, and it will outlast several cheap ones.
