Nut Setter - (13mm) pcs

A 13mm nut setter - the largest of the three hex sizes on our shelf, after 8mm and 10mm. Thirteen millimetres fits the big hex heads found on structural and heavy-gauge fixings: coach and hex bolts driven by machine, heavy roofing and cladding screws, purlin cleats and brackets, tank and frame assembly, and equipment mounted with hex-head fasteners. It is used the same way as the smaller sizes - a socket on a hex shank, dropped into a drill or impact driver, with a magnet holding the fastener so it can be placed one-handed - but at this size the torque involved is real, so use a driver that can handle it and let the tool do the work rather than leaning on it. Match the size to the head exactly; a loose fit rounds a hex in a few turns.
