MDF Screw - (4 x 30)

Cavalry MDF screws in gauge 4, 30mm long - the shortest of the three lengths we carry. Thirty millimetres is what thin panel work asks for: fixing backs and bases of 6mm or 9mm board, small boxes and drawers, trim and beading onto carcass, cleats, and repairs where a longer screw would come through the face of the piece. In board, length that goes nowhere useful is not harmless - it simply breaks out somewhere it should not. The slim shank and sharp cutting thread go in without swelling the material, which is exactly the property that stops a joint bursting apart along the edge. Countersink so the head pulls flush, and hold or clamp the joint tight while driving; board does not pull up the way solid timber does.
