MDF Screw - (4 x 20)

Cavalry MDF screws in gauge 4, twenty millimetres long. Twenty millimetres reaches barely past the thickness of a thin panel, which is exactly the point: fixing hardware and fittings onto a door or drawer front where a longer screw would break through the visible face, holding thin backs and base panels, fixing trim and beading, and attaching catches, plates and small brackets. The slim gauge 4 shank matters as much as the length here, because a thicker screw in a thin panel or a board edge simply splits it. Countersink so the head pulls flush rather than crushing the surface. Keep the short lengths separate from the long ones on the bench; grabbing a 50mm for this work puts it straight through the front.
