Masonry bit : Hilt - 6 x 160

A masonry drill bit from Hilt, 6mm across and 160mm long. It sits alongside our unbranded bit of identical size at a slightly higher price, and the reason people pay it is life rather than capability: a branded carbide tip generally holds its edge over more holes before it starts to burnish rather than bite, which matters if you are drilling all day rather than hanging one shelf. For a handful of holes the cheaper bit does the same job. For a fundi working through a block wall of fixings, the branded one usually works out cheaper per hole. Used with hammer action on concrete, block, brick and stone, and paired with the wall plug sizes that suit a 6mm hole. Sold individually.
