Masking tape pcs

A roll of masking tape. Its whole value is in coming off again: a paper tape with an adhesive weak enough to lift from a painted or finished surface without tearing it, but strong enough to hold a straight line while the paint goes on. That is why it is on every decorating job - masking frames, skirting, sockets and switches, glass and glazing beads, and cutting a line where two colours meet. Beyond painting it is used for temporary labelling, holding a template while it is marked out, bundling small parts, and protecting a surface from a tool. Press the edge down firmly along the line before painting, and pull it off while the paint is still slightly soft rather than after it has fully hardened.
