Malpha Bit - (25mm)

A 25mm wood boring bit, held under the name Malpha, the smaller of the two we carry. Where the 35mm is cut specifically to the diameter of a concealed hinge cup, 25mm is a general large-hole size for joinery: boring for dowels and pegs, cutting clearance for cable and grommets through a desk or cabinet back, letting in catches, magnets and fittings, drilling out a knot before plugging, and starting a recess that will be squared up with a chisel. It bores a clean flat-bottomed hole, which is what a fitting needs to seat on. Keep the drill square, ideally in a stand, and clear the waste as you go. Bore too deep on thin material and the cutter comes through the face.
