Insulation Tape - Black (20-yard)

Black PVC insulation tape on a twenty-yard roll. It is the electrician's default consumable: insulating and re-sheathing joints, taping over terminations and connector blocks, colour-marking conductors, wrapping damaged flex, bundling small cable runs and finishing off a repair so nothing is left bare. The PVC stretches as it is wound, so it conforms tightly round an irregular joint and grips itself rather than needing anything to hold it down. Black is the general-purpose colour and the one bought by the box. Wrap in overlapping turns with a little tension, and carry it past the damage at both ends. It is insulation, not a mechanical repair - a badly damaged cable should be replaced, not taped.
