Helmet - Blue

A blue safety helmet. The shell spreads and deflects a blow across its whole area while the harness inside holds it clear of the skull, so the two work together - a helmet worn with a slack or missing harness is a hat, not protection. It is required on any site with work overhead, scaffolding, cranes and hoists, excavation, or simply low steel and projecting formwork to walk into. Colour is commonly used on Kenyan sites to distinguish trades, supervisors and visitors at a glance, which is why helmets are stocked in several. Adjust the harness so it sits firm without pressure, and replace any helmet that has taken a real impact even if it looks sound - the shell absorbs damage you cannot see.
