Grinding Disc - HATCH (7-inch)

A 7-inch grinding disc under Hatch's own brand. A grinding disc is the opposite of a cutting disc: thick rather than thin, and used on its face rather than its edge, so it grinds metal away across a broad area instead of slicing a narrow line. At seven inches it covers ground quickly, which is what you want when dressing down long welds on gates and grilles, levelling weld beads on structural section, removing excess material from castings and cut ends, and cleaning up flame-cut or sheared edges. Hold it at a shallow angle to the work rather than flat, keep it moving so it does not dig a hollow, and never use a grinding disc to cut - the edge is not made to take a side load.
