Flap Disc (4.5-inch) - (P80)

A 4.5-inch flap disc in P80 grit, sized for the standard angle grinder most fundis carry. Overlapping abrasive flaps grind and finish in the same pass, so a weld can be knocked down and blended without swapping to a separate finishing wheel. That is why flap discs have largely replaced hard grinding stones for fabrication work, and why they wear more evenly as the flaps break away to expose fresh abrasive. P80 is a medium grit: it removes material faster than the finer grades kept for final finishing, but leaves a smoother surface than the coarse grades used for heavy stock removal. It is the general-purpose choice for cleaning up welds, deburring cut edges, and taking rust and mill scale off mild steel. Common on gate and grille work, workshop fabrication and general steel repair. Sold as a single disc.
