Emery Cloth - (No. 0/P-120)

Emery cloth in grade No. 0, which corresponds to P-120 - abrasive bonded to a cloth backing rather than paper. The cloth is what makes it different from sandpaper: it tears far less, it can be folded, wrapped around a shaft or torn into a strip and pulled back and forth around a pipe, and it survives being used damp or with oil. That flexibility is why it lives in metalworking rather than in decorating. Used for cleaning up and polishing metal by hand, taking the burr off a cut edge, preparing pipe and fittings before soldering, easing a shaft or a bearing seat, cleaning corroded contacts and terminals, and finishing work a machine cannot reach. No. 0 is a fine grade, for finishing rather than removal.
