Duct Tape - Grey

Grey duct tape - cloth-backed, heavily adhesived, and strong enough to tear by hand while still holding under real strain. That combination is why it ends up on every site and in every van: sealing and joining ducting, holding sheeting and dust screens up, binding cable and hose runs, patching a split bag or drum, marking and masking on rough surfaces, strapping tools and materials for transport, and the hundred temporary fixes a day throws up. It sticks to surfaces that reject other tapes - rough, dusty, curved and awkward - and comes off leaving residue, so keep it away from anything finished. Treat it as a fix that buys time, not as a permanent repair, particularly anywhere heat or water is involved.
