CONTA (100g)

Conta in a 100 gram tin. Conta is the name most people here use for contact adhesive, and asking for it by brand is simply how the product is bought. A hundred grams covers a real but small job: recovering a chair or stool seat, sticking a foam or rubber pad, laminating a small panel or shelf edge, fixing a section of skirting or beading that will not take a pin. Contact adhesive is spread on both surfaces and left until it stops being wet to the touch - the bond happens when the two tacky faces meet, not while it dries, which is why nothing needs clamping afterwards. Spread it thin and even; a thick layer stays soft underneath and the joint creeps later under load.
