Carbon Brush -CB (204) Pair

A pair of carbon brushes, type CB 204. Carbon brushes are the sacrificial contacts that carry current into the spinning part of a universal motor, and they are designed to wear away so the commutator does not. When a grinder, drill or planer starts sparking heavily, cutting out intermittently, losing power or refusing to start, worn brushes are the first thing to check and by far the least expensive thing to replace - a machine written off as dead is very often a machine needing a pair of these. Always fit them in pairs, never singly, and match the type: brushes come in dozens of sizes and the wrong one either will not seat or will chew the commutator.
