B.Pad Sandpaper - (P40)

A fibre sanding disc in P40 grit, made to run on a backing pad fitted to an angle grinder. It has no rigidity of its own, which is the point - the pad behind it flexes, so the abrasive follows a curved or uneven surface instead of digging in at the rim. P40 is the coarse grade, for work where there is material to take off rather than a finish to achieve: stripping paint and rust off gates, grilles and vehicle panels, sanding back weld spatter and rough welds, levelling filler, taking the surface off timber, and cleaning concrete and formwork. It leaves a scratch pattern that a finer grade then removes. Match the disc diameter to your pad, and change it once it stops cutting rather than pressing harder.
