B.Pad Sandpaper - (P120)

A fibre sanding disc in P120 grit, run on a backing pad fitted to an angle grinder - the finest of the grades we carry. It is the last step rather than the first: after P40 has stripped and P60 or P80 has taken out the coarse scratches, P120 leaves a surface smooth enough that a coat of paint or filler primer will not telegraph the sanding marks through it. Used for final preparation of steel before coating, finishing filler on panel repairs so the edge disappears, smoothing timber before varnish or paint, and taking the shine off an existing finish so a new coat keys to it. It clogs faster than the coarse grades, particularly on paint and filler, so change it once it stops cutting.
