Binding wire-Kg

Binding wire, sold by the kilogram. It is soft annealed wire, deliberately made to bend and twist by hand and to stay where it is put rather than springing back, which is exactly what tying reinforcement demands: every intersection in a rebar cage, mesh lap and column stirrup gets a twist of this wire to hold the steel in position while concrete is poured around it. If the cage moves during the pour, the cover is wrong and the steel is in the wrong place for good. Beyond reinforcement it is used for bundling, fencing repairs, tying formwork, hanging services temporarily and a hundred site improvisations. Sold loose by weight, so buy to the job rather than by the coil.
