Angle Grinder - (4.5-inch) MAXMECH

A MAXMECH angle grinder taking 4.5-inch (115mm) discs, which is the size most fundis own and the size nearly every disc on the shelf is made for. It is the general-purpose machine of the metal trades: fitted with a cutting disc it goes through bar, angle iron, rebar and sheet; with a grinding or flap disc it dresses welds and cleans up edges; with a wire cup it takes off rust and old paint. Beyond metalwork it is used with a diamond blade for cutting tile, block and concrete lintels. A 4.5-inch machine is light enough to hold up at a gate or grille all day, which is why fabricators keep one even when they own a larger grinder. Always fit the guard and use eye protection - the discs are consumables and they do break.
