A Cavalry anchor screw measuring 8mm across and 80mm long. It works differently from everything else on the fixings shelf: rather than expanding a plug or a sleeve, it cuts its own thread directly into the concrete as it drives, which means no plug to buy, nothing to seat, and no expansion force pushing outward on the material around it. That last point is why frame fitters use them close to the edge of a slab, lintel or block where an expanding anchor would crack the material out. Used for door and window frames, sub-frames, battens and rails, sole plates, brackets and gate hardware. Drill the specified hole size accurately and to full depth - an anchor screw driven into a hole that is too small or too shallow will shear before it seats.
