Anchor Plug-M6

An M6 anchor plug of the butterfly type, held in our butterfly wall plug range. It solves the problem no expanding plug can: fixing into a hollow wall where there is nothing behind the surface to press against. The wings fold flat to pass through a drilled hole, then spring or draw open on the far side and clamp back against the inside face, spreading the load across an area far wider than the hole itself. That is what lets gypsum board, hollow block, panelling and ceiling board carry a fixing at all. Used for wall units and shelves on stud partitions, ceiling-mounted fittings, mirrors, boards and light fittings. A butterfly cannot be recovered once fitted - if the screw is withdrawn, the anchor drops into the cavity.
